Daddy's Girl

He may not be her real dad,
But he shows her what she's worth.
Even though he came into her life
Fourteen years after her birth.

She comes to him with problems,
She knows he listens and he cares.
And she knows if she ever needs him,
This dad will always be there.

They have shared a lot of laughter,
And he has dried away her tears.
To her he is her daddy,
And she loves him very dear.

So he may not be her real dad,
But in her heart he is.
And she gives him all the love,
A daddy's little girl can give.

For my husband Timothy 
and my daughter Krystal Purvis.
Although she's now 26, 
she'll always be her daddy's little girl.
