Evan

Evan sweet Evan so tiny and new.
Your mommy and daddy can't wait to hold you.
To count your little fingers, and feel your little toes.
To see how you fit in your tiny little clothes.

To watch you sleep in your tiny little bed.
And to run their hand across your sweet little head.
So sleep sweet Evan till that time does come.
When your mommy and daddy and hold their sweet little son.

Written for my great nephew,
Evan Alvarez before his birth.
Now he is three years old and still a little sweetie.
