It
has been two years since Margo and Daniel fell in love. And
everything has been wonderful. Daniel had finished school last
year. And he was working for his father
accounting
firm and going to
college
part
time to get his license he has three months left. And Margo has
three months left before she graduates from high school. Then
she has two
years
to do her nursing school. Daniel wants to wait to propose to her
when she gets out of high school. And then wait until she gets
out of nursing school to get married. by then they will have
saved enough
to afford the wedding they want, and a place of their own. They
are both
very level headed young people and know what they want out of
life; they have plans for their future and intend to stick to
them. Although sometimes Margo wishes they could just throw
caution to the wind and get
married now, but she knows it will be better to stick to their
plans.
It was early afternoon
Margo was lying across her bed, thinking about Daniel, as always.
She loved him so much she could hardly think about anything
else.
And
she knew without a doubt, that Daniel loved her too. She had never been more sure about
anything her whole life. But the selfish side of her wanted to
be Daniels wife now. Even though she knew they should stick to
their plans and wait a part of
her longed for the wait to be over. The sound of the telephone
ringing startled Margo, she had been
so
preoccupied thinking about the future. She
picked up the phone and said hello, it
was her mother Joanne.
Oh, hi mom, what’s up? Joanne said, I have to work about an
hour
longer than normal. And Daniel and his parents are coming for
dinner. Could you cook for me? Sure I will mom, don’t you
worry dinner will be just fine. Ok and thanks Margo you are a
life saver. Oh yeah honey could you lay out my red dress and the
new black heels I bought the other day they are both in the
closet. Everything will be ready mom, when
you get here all you will have to do is get dressed and enjoy dinner. Thanks
sweetie said Joanne, and Margo I love you. I love you too mom
bye.
