My Bed Time Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep.
My faith in prayer, it runs so deep.
That if I should die, before I wake,
I trust my Lord my soul to take.

He watches while I sleep at night.
And for my soul the Lord will fight.
If my body should cease to breathe,
The Lord above will be with me.

To walk me through the valley of death,
And on to Heaven for eternal rest,
Until that time, till death does come,
He'll wake me with the morning sun.

The birds will sing, and I will cheer,
That God is good, and I'm still here.

Amen.
